Tom2Trax Electronic & Dance - Record Picks 23rd June 2026

Tom2Trax Electronic & Dance - Record Picks 23rd June 2026

Heatwave, the World Cup, and more heatwave - it's a wonder any of us can focus and concentrate on all the amazing dance and electronic music coming out this week. Actually, I take that back, we'd never miss it for the world.

Here's what's taking my fancy this week, plenty of preorders in, and a good even spread across house, disco, edits & deep soul.

Soul Element (Stacy Kidd) Feat. Peven Everett - How Bad I Want Ya

Nathaniel X Project releases, it’s easy to love the label.

This time Soul Element (Stacy Kidd) steps up with Peven Everett’s smooth tones on the vocal. ‘How Bad I Want Ya’ is a smooth, latin-tinged deep house vocal track with emotion, depth, and soul.

On the flip side, Glenn Underground steps in with his ‘PEAL True Time Mix’, which introduces funky-driven bass lines, additional percussion, and that special GU deep house touch. Not one to miss.

Demi Riquísimo & Clint - Soft Landing EP

Demi Riquísimo returns with Clint on his own high-energy house imprint Semi Delicious. This record, the Soft Landing EP, features more of Demi’s signature Mediterranean-leaning, tech-y, super optimistic brand of club music. We love it.

‘Data Entry’, a stand out track is hands in the air level energy, with an Italo-house piano stand that repeats over and over. You’ll be shuffling towards the dance floor with this one. ‘Soft Landing’ feels deeper and dubbier, with 90’s bass stab riffs, overlapping atmospheric pads, and huge breakdowns.

Four tracks of club ready power.

Fibre Foundation - Free Your Mind

Free Your Mind is back on vinyl for the first time since its original 1995 release. Recently reintroduced to a new generation through Prospa & Cloonee's huge 2026 version, this classic Victor Simonelli production is packed with uplifting pianos, soulful vocals and timeless US garage house grooves.

This reissue includes the UK Mix, NJ Mix, Instrumental and Bonus Dub - so it’s an absolute essential pick for both DJs and collectors! A genuine New York house classic on Simonelli's own Big Big Trax label - do not miss.

Scrimshire - Bring Our Light To Every Corner

Saturday listening sessions, coffee in hand, I can picture this one already in the collection.

Bring Our Light To Every Corner sees Scrimshire blend folk, soul and jazz influences into a rich and beautifully crafted album. Drawing inspiration from classic artists while carving out its own identity, the record unfolds as a warm and immersive listening experience.

Featuring contributions from Dwight Trible, Idris Rahman, Faye Houston and Mahesh Kale, it's a thoughtful and uplifting collection full of depth, soul and musicality.

Corker of a crossover album!

Loveface / Misiu - This Ain't No Disco / Tarot

Talking Heads' classic ‘Life During Wartime’ gets a fresh dance floor update from Loveface, turning a much-loved track into a real club weapon. Alongside it is Tarot, the cult Italo disco favourite that was revived by the Idjut Boys in the early 2000s and now returns again with a smooth, hypnotic rework from Misui.

Left-field disco selectors - listen up!

Two standout reworks of timeless tracks, ready for modern dancefloors.

Dirty Channels - Jungle Echoes EP

Everything Razor n Tape touch on their Reserve imprint turns to gold…

Dirty Channels return with Jungle Echoes, a four-track EP packed with warm grooves and big club energy. Guilty and its dub mix are built for peak-time dancefloors, while Semliki brings a hypnotic rhythm inspired by South African Kwaito.

The title track rounds things off with deeper house sounds that nod to early Chicago and New York influences. A strong and versatile release that's equally at home in DJ bags and collector’s shelves.

Adam Freeland & Duncan Forbes - Transhuman EP

Adam Freeland presents the Transhuman EP, a new collaboration with Duncan Forbes of Spooky - and the first release on the relaunched Marine Parade label. The EP blends deep electronic grooves, atmospheric textures and sci-fi influences, marking Freeland's first new solo material in over 15 years.

A sonic smorgasbord of dub, techno and ambient sounds, Transhuman welcomes a fresh chapter for both Freeland and the Marine Parade imprint, with more releases planned throughout 2026.

Fans of deep, dubbed-out music, this one’s for you.

Burnski & Kepler - Feel It EP

If you’re anything like me, you can’t resist a four track, seaming house EP with teechnop and electronic leanings. Phwoar, this is modern, crunchy, punchy club tackle!

M1 organs, funky stabs, trance-y samples, UK garage influence - all in a neat package of four to the floor club tech house. We love to see it - and hear it!

Chip E - The Architect Of House - Chicago 1984-88. Volume 1: Classics

Early photo house music is special: it’s sparse, stripped-back and full of attitude. This package from Chip E, documenting the early years, raw foundations and forward-thinking vision that helped shape an entire genre.

The Architect Of House: Chicago 1984–88 celebrates the work of Chip E, one of the true pioneers of house music. Released by Still Music and curated by Jerome Derradji, this deluxe double LP revisits the classic tracks that helped shape the Chicago house sound in its earliest years.

Featuring essential recordings including Time To Jack and It's House, Volume 1 captures a key moment in dance music history. A must-have for house music fans, DJs and collectors looking to explore the roots of the genre.

Essential stuff!

BRS - Spring Dom EP

WOLF Music can do no wrong here at Sticky Black Tarmac - we see it, we buy it. This time they reissue BRS (British Rhythm Services) classic Spring Dom, bringing this sought-after deep house gem back to vinyl from the original DAT tapes. With soulful vocals, warm chords and a driving groove, it's a track that still sounds as fresh today as it did on its original release.

The release also includes a new remix from Medlar, plus the original cuts Clubtronic and Miss You. A great reissue for deep house fans, DJs and collectors alike.

Pascal Moscheni - Make A Romance

Pascal Moscheni makes his debut on M.A.D Records with a strong three-track EP packed with groove and character. Lead track Pasion Latina features vocals from Miranda Makaroff, delivering a warm, rolling house cut that's built for the dancefloor, alongside a remix from Tino.

Closing things out is Gambling & Arts, a bass-heavy club track with plenty of weight and energy. A versatile release that balances house grooves with peak-time impact.

Proper!

DJ Alone Again / Deepmore / Half Dead Dave / Katermurr - Out Of The Cage

This is proper 90’s reminiscent house and garage - bumpin’, upfront, deep and confident!

A selection of classic Dog With A Bone tracks finally arrives on vinyl, bringing together house cuts inspired by the sounds of the '90s with a modern touch. Packed with warm grooves and proven dancefloor appeal, these tracks have already earned support from DJs across the global house scene.

This record is full of attitude. Must have release for DJs, collectors and fans of timeless house music.

The Rurals - Deepest Rurals E.P

The image of the sunset on the label sums up the sound of this record beautifully. Four cuts of orange-tinged, blissful, deep sundowners.

Deepest Rurals E.P showcases The Rurals at their best, delivering a collection of soulful deep house tracks filled with warm grooves, jazzy influences and live musicianship. Blending rich melodies, smooth basslines and organic rhythms, the release captures the timeless sound that has made The Rurals a favourite with deep house fans.

Previously only available digitally, now’s the chance to cop.

Solid Gold Playaz - Minds Beneath Atlantis E.P

If you like your house music sample-heavy, Moodyman-esque, and with enough grit and groove to transport your mind to Detroit or Chicago, this is for you.

Solid Gold Playaz return with Minds Beneath Atlantis, a deep house classic that has become highly sought after since its original release in 2003. Long out of print and a favourite among collectors, this timeless release is now available again thanks to a welcome repress from Still Music.

Packed with the warm grooves and soulful depth the duo are known for, this’ll get your feet movin’ and/or crowd relaxed and ready in that killer DJ bar set or warm up.
