Tom2Trax Electronic & Dance - Record Picks 30th march 2026

Tom2Trax Electronic & Dance - Record Picks 30th march 2026

Thanks for navigating to the new blog section on the site! Pleased to welcome Tom aboard in this debut feature highlighting some (for the most part but not limited to) dance and electronic selections new and upcoming. A small but mighty array for this first edition that will surely expand in the coming weeks and months. Please do comment/reply/ talk to us if this is your kind of bag. It's a section I (Brandan) am keen to grow in both the shop and online, and I know Tom is the perfect person to take the reins on this with his experience as a DJ and running Alltrax radio (linked). Hope you enjoy!

Raw Tunes - The Jersey DAT's (w/ Medlar Remix)

Textbook peak time house cuts for those who lean towards the 90’s sound from Raw Tunes.

Hard hitting, raw, East Coast garage house here from the Daybreakers label. ‘Raw Tunes’ come straight out of Jersey with these two mega house cuts, straight from their DAT tape vaults.

Organic piano stabs, diva vocals, and thumping big drums - what’s not to like? For the discerning US house heads and the dance floor ravers alike, this release is not difficult to love. Medlar even treats us to a silky retouch on the B2.

Em Vee - EP Number Eight

Disco edit connoisseurs will recognise the three-legged acid smiley logo that graces the label of the much-loved Sosilly Edits series.

This time, German producer Em Vee lays his deft hands to a foursome of funky cuts. ‘Where is the Love’ opens up the EP with hard, horn-led disco energy on a chop of some source material reminiscent of Bileo’s ‘You Can Win’. ‘Body to Body’ gives off fast-paced funk energy, whilst ‘All Night Long’ is led by a passionate vocal, racing into night-time ecstasy. B2’s ‘Pleasure Island’ is a rambunctious frenzy of guitar licks, driving beats and arpeggiated, looped riffs.

Massive disco energy!

Jon Dasilva and Skyskrapa Feat. Donald Waugh - Sun Brings Joy

Straight up Acid, tribal-tinged mystic music, bass-led Chicago style beats, and a groovy acid finisher all feature on this 10/10 dance floor EP from Jon Dasilva and Skyskrapa Feat. Donald Waugh

Already heralded by big name DJs such as Luke Una, Leftfield, Ewan and Optimo, this record already feels like one of those discs that is going to stay in a lot of gig bags all year.

The sheer simplicity of the ‘Sun Brings Joy’ vocal, mixed four ways with touches of acid, techno, bass and more, results in a flawless release featuring a track for every clubbing occasion.

Deep Dish - Say Hello - PARAMIDA Remixes

Berghain’s Panorama Bar resident Paramida flips a club classic with a beefed-up, dubbed-out club mix.

Regulars on the European club scene will know Paramida’s name by now. Beholding a residency at the infamous Panorama Bar in Berlin, and touring worldwide, she’s made incredible waves over the last few years.

The track’s ‘Tokyo’ remix feels fit for 2026, with its full production, thick beats, and minimal feel. On the flip side is a stripped-back ‘Tokyo to Tehran’ dub version.

Silk Cuts - Once Don't Stop

Silk Cuts launch onto the scene with their first ever release: a 7-inch with two fun-loving mash-up style edits for the party starting DJ.

This is the first release from Silk Cuts, and it’s a strong one. When you hear the chimes of Talking Head’s ‘Once in a Lifetime’ running underneath Q - Tip’s ‘Breathe and Stop’, you know you’ve got an instant dance floor weapon.

The B side is a switch up on the classic ‘B-Boy Document ’99’ by The High & Mighty ft. Mos Def & Mad Skillz - as featured on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2!

Hip Hop heads - cop now!

Justin Robertson and Matthew Shaw - Play the music of MineralTail

Justin Robertson and Matthew Shaw pay tribute to ‘the mythical band MineralTail’ on this mystical, wigged-out, psychonaut LP that journeys to the centre of the Earth.

If you like your rock on the kraut-y, psychedelic side, and your electronic music on the mystic-chug, tripped-out vibe, then this record is for you.

Eleven tracks of time-travelling, shire-hopping, dimension-switching sonics are presented here as our protagonists try to conjure up a palette of sounds that can only attempt to pay homage to MineralTail.

This one’s for listening to in one long sitting, on your favourite comfy chair, lights dimmed low, and get lost in the ambience and wizardry.
