Various Artists - Jamz Supernova Presents: Dance Around The World
BBC 6 Music presenter, DJ and Future Bounce label head Jamz Supernova presents Dance Around The World, a new compilation for Mr Bongo. Evolving from her radio show, event series and Bandcamp community of the same name, the collection maps a globe-spanning musical journey across sixteen tracks.
The compilation moves through artists, countries and scenes that have shaped Jamz Supernova's musical worldview, travelling from Reunion Island to Latin America, East Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific. Many of the tracks are exclusive to the collection, with each selection connecting heritage and roots to artists pushing forward new regional sounds.
Sequenced as a 24-hour cycle, Dance Around The World moves from downtempo selections into dancefloor-focused material. The vinyl is available as a standard black 2LP and an Indie Only green 2LP edition, both featuring the same sixteen-track programme.
