Various Artists - Bedazzled! Barbara Moore TV, Film And Studio Work 1965 - 81
Bedazzled! Barbara Moore TV, Film And Studio Work 1965–81 is the first collection to bring together the broad sweep of Barbara Moore’s work across jazz, pop, easy listening and library music. A composer, arranger, vocalist and pianist, Moore built a remarkable career in film, television, radio and production music while working in fields that were then overwhelmingly male.
This 2LP Ace Records compilation, assembled with the blessing of Moore’s estate, includes music associated with Bedazzled, The Saint, the Pick Of The Pops theme and Terry Wogan’s Radio 2 theme “Just Like That”, alongside sought-after pieces drawn from the De Wolfe, Chappell, Southern and Hudson libraries. Artwork and detailed sleevenotes by Bob Stanley and Mark Goodall complete a substantial overview of an influential but under-recognised British musician.
