A La Altura: Visionary Mexican Music 1977-1999 - Volume 2 continues the archival series documenting Mexican musicians who merged electronic and indigenous instruments with minimalism, ambient, jazz and new age aesthetics.
Compiled and produced by Carlos “Tropicaza” Icaza and Mark “Frosty” McNeill, Volume 2 features thirteen visionary artists including Ana Ruiz, Oxomaxoma, Gerardo Bátiz, Antonio Zepeda and Airwaves, and includes four previously unreleased tracks.
The double LP was pressed at Optimal, remastered by Grammy-nominated engineer John Baldwin and includes a booklet with liner notes. The limited colour edition is pressed on yellow and blue vinyl.
