The Skints – FM

The Skints – FM is a concept album built around a single day at the fictional pirate radio station 103.Skints, using radio-style interludes and a wide range of musical influences to celebrate the culture that helped keep reggae thriving in the UK.

The East London group move fluidly between retro dancehall, rocksteady, ska, roots reggae and punk-informed energy. Produced by Prince Fatty alongside the band, the album features guest appearances from Tippa Irie, Horseman and Rival, and includes the group's characteristically sharp harmonies, strong musicianship and multi-vocalist approach.

FM is one of The Skints' most varied records, moving from warm melodic passages to harder-edged rhythms while maintaining a coherent pirate-radio concept throughout.
