The Nerves - Best Collection

Best Collection brings together a wide-ranging selection from The Nerves, prepared in close collaboration with surviving members Paul Collins and Peter Case, alongside Jack Lee’s daughter Cynthia. Third Man Records worked from original source recordings rather than secondary copies, vinyl rips or CD transfers, with Warren Defever mastering and remastering the material at Third Man Mastering in Detroit.

The collection gathers signature songs such as Hanging On The Telephone, When You Find Out, Walking Out on Love and One Way Ticket alongside demos, alternate material and other recordings from the group’s brief but hugely influential history. The aim of the project is to present definitive versions of the tracks as originally intended, including recordings that have not been heard in this form since the sessions themselves.

This 2026 edition is spread across two LPs and is available on standard black vinyl as well as an Indies Only red marble pressing. With four sides and 28 tracks, it offers a substantial overview of one of power pop’s most important cult bands.
