The Jade - Let The Light In / At The Queensboro
The Jade - Let The Light In / At The Queensboro brings two standout tracks from The Jade's debut album Love Harder to the Marula Soulfood 7-inch series, a collaboration between Lovemonk and Barcelona's Marula Café. Behind The Jade is Oli Stewart, aka Casbah 73, leading a transatlantic ensemble of musicians from a Madrid home base.
Let The Light In is a radiant, groove-led cut featuring Nebraska vocalist Josh Hoyer, whose powerful performance rides exuberant rhythms and fluid soul-jazz movement. The track has the warmth and immediacy of a record built for both packed basement clubs and open-air dancefloors.
On the flip, At The Queensboro moves into elegant instrumental jazz-funk, allowing its groove plenty of space to breathe. It was highlighted among BBC Radio 6 Music presenter Craig Charles' favourite tracks of 2025.
Presented as a two-track 7-inch on Lovemonk, the record captures two complementary sides of The Jade: vocal-led, sunlit soul and supple jazz-funk instrumentation.
