STR4TA - Aspects (Repress)

Aspects brings together Gilles Peterson and Jean-Paul “Bluey” Maunick for a fresh exploration of the loose, energetic Brit-funk sound that emerged in the early 1980s. Drawing on the spirit of groups including Atmosfear, Hi-Tension, Light of the World and Freeez, STR4TA revisit that formative era with a direct, live-minded approach built around groove, spontaneity and stripped-back arrangements.

This 2026 Brownswood repress is pressed on black vinyl and captures the duo's shared interest in the DIY vitality and musical cross-pollination that made the original Brit-funk scene so distinctive.
