Sons of Sevilla - Forever Heaven b/w Changing (Black Vinyl)

Forever Heaven b/w Changing is a new two-track 7-inch single from Sons of Sevilla, the musical partnership of brothers Henry and Reuben Vaun Smith. Released through Ubiquity Recordings, the single opens a fresh chapter for the West Yorkshire duo while retaining the warmth, colour and softly psychedelic character that has shaped their work to date. Pressed on black vinyl, it is a compact introduction to two complementary sides of the band: soulful, sunlit pop on the A-side and spacious Americana on the reverse.

“Forever Heaven” began during an informal recording session in Leeds before being completed with producer Max Shrager at Studio Zoe in New Jersey. The track moves on glassy vocal harmonies, chiming guitars, warm electric piano, elastic bass and a crisp, snare-led groove. Its hazy atmosphere feels suited to late summer evenings, balancing nostalgic production touches with the relaxed confidence of a band refining its own identity rather than simply recreating the past.

On the B-side, “Changing” takes a more reflective route. Written in Los Angeles and recorded in New Jersey following the duo’s American touring, the song introduces pedal steel and a wider, more open arrangement. The result draws from late-1960s psychedelic pop, country soul and mellow West Coast rock while remaining unmistakably connected to Sons of Sevilla’s northern English roots.

Formed in Featherstone, West Yorkshire, Sons of Sevilla made their Ubiquity debut in 2024 and quickly established a reputation for organic textures, close harmonies and songs that combine soul, soft rock, Americana and vintage pop. Their first two albums, Lullabies For a Wildcat and Street Light Moon, were followed by touring across the UK, Europe and the United States with a full live band.

This standalone 7-inch captures that development in its most direct form. With one track on each side, Forever Heaven b/w Changing is an ideal release for collectors of modern soul, psychedelic pop and contemporary music made with a deep affection for classic recording craft.
