Ricardo Marrero & The Group - A Taste

Mr Bongo reissues Ricardo Marrero & The Group's mythical and elusive 1976 album A Taste, originally released on TSG Records. Its scarcity grew from the unusual circumstances around the label, but the album's reputation rests on the music itself.

A Taste is a lush fusion of Latin, jazz-funk and soul with a cinematic edge. Highlights include the Latin funk anthem 'Babalonia', the uplifting and spiritual 'Get Yourself Together', the earthy soul-jazz of 'And We'll Make Love', the raw dancer 'Algo' and the more straight-ahead Latin/Nuyorican sounds of 'Vengo' and 'A Taste Of Latin'.

This Mr Bongo vinyl edition is housed in a tip-on sleeve.
