ÖLÜM - Kara Dünya/Yeşil Güneş

ÖLÜM are a Los Angeles-based Anatolian rock and roll group led by Izmir-born frontman Aykut Özen. Their music revives the sound and spirit of the 1966–1982 golden age of Anatolian psychedelic rock associated with pioneers such as Erkin Koray and Barış Manço.

Kara Dünya / Yeşil Güneş distils that approach into a two-track 7-inch single, combining fuzz guitar with Hammond and Leslie textures, analogue synthesizers, Farfisa tones and melodic riffs. The group’s stated aim is to bring renewed energy to Turkish folk-rooted psychedelic rock while building a repertoire of original material.

The A-side features Kara Dünya, backed with Yeşil Güneş on the B-side. It is a concise physical introduction to ÖLÜM’s modern take on the classic Anatolian psych tradition.
