Mei Semones - Howl

Brooklyn-based Japanese American singer-songwriter and guitarist Mei Semones returns with Howl, her second studio album and major-label debut for Verve Records.

Singing in English and Japanese, Semones brings together jazz, bossa nova, J-pop and rock within a distinctive guitar-led sound. Primarily recorded at New York's Power Station with her touring string players and co-produced by Mei, the album places her intricate guitar work alongside more vulnerable and personal songwriting. The artwork, logo and hand-drawn creative elements were created by her mother, Seiko Semones.
