Manuel Darquart – Dream House Factory Vol. 1

WOLF music knock it out the park with ‘Dream House Factory Vol. 1’ by Manuel Darquart. A tribute to Balearic sounds and Italian house music sounds of the 90’s. 

This record serves as a toolkit for the DJ who is drawn towards aquatic sounds and euphoric, swung grooves. A1 ‘Per Sognare’ perfectly sums up the vibe with acoustic guitar plucks over thumping kick drums, lightly accented by shimmering synths and era-appropriate samples. 

‘Big Balearic' takes the energy down a notch or two with its thick, rolling bass and jazzy organ keys. ‘A.C.I.D’ does exactly what it says on the tin, ‘Pammy’s Craft (Azure Version)’ utilises xylophones and more of that beloved plucky bass sound to drive us into Mediterranean territory, and a remix of the latter by Malik Kassim, shifts the vibe into more abstract territory.
