Nintendo and Laced Records bring the music of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to vinyl, marking the first time a Nintendo soundtrack has received a commercial vinyl release outside Japan. This 2LP edition distils the game’s enormous musical world into 34 specially mastered fan-favourite cues, sequenced as a focused journey through Hyrule.

The soundtrack was composed by Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata, Hajime Wakai and Soshi Abe. Breath of the Wild introduced a distinctive musical language to the Zelda series: minimalist piano accompanies open-world exploration, Sheikah technology is given unfamiliar electronic textures, enemy encounters tighten into rhythmic tension, and the Divine Beast sequences expand into orchestral scale. Familiar series themes remain present, but are reframed within the game’s quieter, more spacious approach.

Across four vinyl sides, the selection moves from Main Theme and Overworld (Day) through shrine, village and battle music, before visiting the domains and Divine Beasts associated with Mipha, Revali, Urbosa and Daruk. The final side reaches Hyrule Castle, the climactic battles with Calamity Ganon and Dark Beast Ganon, and the closing Epilogue. Great Fairy Fountain, Kass’s Theme and other instantly recognisable cues are also included.

The heavyweight double LPs come in printed inner sleeves and a wide-spined outer sleeve, with packaging using archival artwork from the team behind the game. For Zelda collectors and soundtrack listeners, this edition offers a carefully selected physical overview of one of Nintendo’s most atmospheric and adventurous scores.
