Twenty-five years after Anthony Gonzalez first introduced M83, I Wrote You A Letter arrives as the project’s tenth studio album and another expansive chapter in a career defined by scale, atmosphere and emotional detail. Recorded between Los Angeles and Paris with longtime collaborator Benoit de Villeneuve, the album follows Fantasy while drawing on the cinematic electronic language that has made M83 one of the most distinctive names in modern synth music.

Across ten tracks, Gonzalez continues to blur the boundaries between synth-pop, dream-pop and widescreen electronic composition. The music balances luminous melodic passages with a sense of mystery, moving from intimate moments to dramatic peaks without losing the immersive quality at the heart of M83’s sound.
