Love Club – Hot Summer Nights

Love Club - Hot Summer Nights is a sleek, synth-heavy slice of early-80s New York disco, originally released on West End Records in 1983. Fronted by DJ Jay “Mixin’” Dixon and featuring an uncredited vocal turn from Dana West, it balances a restrained, sultry atmosphere with a groove built for the dancefloor.

The production sits between soul-funk, electro-disco and the sound of the Paradise Garage, while the instrumental version strips the track back to reveal the spacious rhythm and dubby detail underneath. This first-time 12-inch reissue restores the original West End Records house sleeve and has been remastered by Simon Francis.
