Jon Lucien - Precious Is Our Love / Strawberries Don't Know Cherries (7")

Precious Is Our Love / Strawberries Don't Know Cherries pairs two rare Jon Lucien recordings from his fertile early-1970s period on a new 7-inch single from Kent. Both tracks remained largely unheard for decades, appearing only on a limited-press CD released by Lucien in 1999 before returning to vinyl through Kent.

“Precious Is Our Love” captures Lucien in a romantic, melodic mode over a relaxed mid-tempo groove, while “Strawberries Don't Know Cherries” reveals a tougher, funkier side. The sessions were arranged by “Beau” Ray Fleming, who also worked around the period of Lucien's Search For The Inner Self. A strong pairing for soul collectors, DJs and listeners exploring the deeper corners of Jon Lucien's catalogue.
