Joe Strummer & The 101ers - Joe Strummer 003: The 101ers Years

Joe Strummer 003: The 101ers Years brings together recordings from Joe Strummer’s pre-Clash band The 101’ers, tracing the raw rock ’n’ roll, pub-rock and early punk energy that immediately preceded one of the most important chapters in British music. Issued by BMG / Dark Horse Records, this limited 2LP gatefold edition focuses on the band’s complete studio recordings alongside selected basement tapes and demos.

The collection includes multiple versions of key songs such as Keys To Your Heart, Motor Boys Motor, Silent Telephone and Sweet Revenge, with new 2026 mixes appearing alongside single versions, acoustic demos and rehearsal-era material. The result gives a detailed picture of Strummer’s songwriting and performance style before The Clash, from straight-ahead rhythm and blues influences to the tougher edge that would soon define British punk.

Pressed on two black vinyl LPs and presented in a gatefold sleeve, this edition is a focused archival release for Joe Strummer and Clash collectors, with very limited account allocation.
