Horatio Luna – Action Reaction

Melbourne producer, bassist and composer Horatio Luna returns with Action Reaction, a warm and luminous jazz-funk album that explores the meeting point between jazz, house music, improvisation and dancefloor-focused composition. Recorded across two Melbourne studios between 2022 and 2025, the record captures a period of movement and creative growth, with fragments of voicemail messages appearing throughout as traces of the surrounding scene.

Warmer and more open than earlier work, Action Reaction trades darker textures for crystalline synths, funk-driven arrangements and prominent horn lines. Tracks such as “SPICY”, “MYSTIC BOUNCE” and “RECTIFY (TRIBUTE TO MOODYMANN)” balance club energy with abstract jazz exploration, making this a strong release for fans of contemporary jazz, broken beat, jazz-funk, deep house and leftfield groove music.
