Hole - Pretty On The Inside (35th Anniversary Black Vinyl)
Hole's landmark 1991 debut Pretty On The Inside returns to vinyl for its 35th anniversary in a definitive new edition overseen by founding guitarist Eric Erlandson. Newly remastered for vinyl, the reissue revisits the raw, confrontational record that introduced the band and established the foundations of the sound they would continue to develop across the following decade.
Produced by Kim Gordon and Don Fleming, Pretty On The Inside features the original lineup of Courtney Love, Eric Erlandson, Jill Emery and Caroline Rue. The album draws together noise, punk and alternative rock in an intentionally abrasive and immediate form. Its eleven-track sequence includes “Teenage Whore”, “Babydoll”, “Garbage Man”, “Good Sister / Bad Sister”, “Mrs. Jones” and the title track, preserving the uncompromising character of Hole's earliest recorded work.
This anniversary edition is pressed on 180-gram black vinyl. The supplied release notes describe the new mastering as bringing renewed depth and detail to the recording while respecting the intensity of the original. It is presented with the full album artwork and thoughtfully restored packaging, making the physical presentation an important part of this archival reissue alongside the remastered audio.
Rather than expanding the record with unrelated extras, the vinyl edition concentrates on the original album and its A- and B-side running order. Beginning with “Teenage Whore” and ending with “Clouds”, Pretty On The Inside is presented here as a complete 35th-anniversary black-vinyl edition: newly remastered, pressed at 180g and packaged to reflect the artwork of Hole's 1991 debut.
