Himiko Kikuchi - Flying Beagle

One of Japan’s most world-renowned female keyboardists, Himiko Kikuchi released Flying Beagle in 1987, and this classic album now returns on vinyl. Having collaborated with artists such as Takuro Yoshida and Junko Ohashi, and performed as a member of prestigious bands like Nobuo Hara’s Sharps & Flats and Minoya Central Station, Kikuchi — along with guitarist Masatsugu Matsumoto — became a key figure in Japan’s live fusion scene. From the 1980s onward, she consistently released solo albums, including several recorded overseas, establishing herself as a legend in the crossover and fusion genres. A masterpiece of Japanese fusion, reissued as a 180g heavyweight, limited-edition analog pressing.
