Today's Special is a suite of language works by Hanne Lippard and Renato Grieco that merges spoken word, composition and the literary into a precise, minimalist whole.

Lippard's texts are paired with Grieco's viola da gamba, piano and Wurlitzer, with the instrumental writing often mirroring the pitch and cadence of her voice.

Developed through residencies in Rome, Naples and Berlin, the record captures the duo's distinctive collaboration in focused studio form.
