Gregory Isaacs - Night Nurse

Night Nurse is one of the defining albums of Gregory Isaacs’ career and a landmark of early-1980s Jamaican reggae. Originally released in 1982, the record was made at Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston and produced by Isaacs with bassist Errol “Flabba” Holt, backed by the Roots Radics and an exceptional cast of Jamaican musicians.

This 2026 Proper Records reissue is pressed on 180g black vinyl and has been designed to faithfully reproduce the original Island Records edition. It also restores the original poster and the period “free poster” sticker, making this a particularly detailed reissue for collectors.

Alongside the signature title track, the album includes Stranger In Town, Hot Stepper, Cool Down The Pace, Material Man and Sad To Know (You’re Leaving). A classic combination of relaxed rhythms, deep grooves and Isaacs’ unmistakable vocal style.
