Graham Coxon – The Sky Is Too High
The Sky Is Too High, Graham Coxon’s 1998 debut solo album, returns on vinyl as part of a major reissue campaign for the Blur guitarist’s solo catalogue. First released on Coxon’s own Transcopic label, the record is a lo-fi, intimate and uncompromising body of work that revealed a very different side of his songwriting from his work with Blur.
Written, recorded and produced by Coxon, the album includes “I Wish” and “That’s All I Wanna Do”, pairing raw home-recorded textures with fragile melodies, noisy guitar edges and deeply personal lyricism. With original artwork by Coxon and LP editions including a set of A6 postcards, this reissue is a key release for fans of British indie, alternative rock and the more experimental corners of the Blur family tree.
