GODTET – II

II is the second full-length album from Sydney-based collective GODTET, a groundbreaking release that sits at the intersection of jazz improvisation, hip-hop beat culture, and experimental instrumental music.

Originally released in 2019 and now reissued on vinyl, the album was recorded largely in a single day, capturing the raw energy of live performance. Led by producer Godriguez, the group builds compositions around curated sample banks, using them as a foundation for spontaneous, collaborative improvisation.

The result is a unique hybrid of beat tape aesthetics and live jazz ensemble playing, with warm textures, deep grooves, and an organic, flowing structure. Featuring contributions from key figures in the Australian underground scene, including Simon Mavin (Hiatus Kaiyote) and Ziggy Zeitgeist (30/70), II is essential listening for fans of modern jazz, instrumental hip-hop, and leftfield fusion.
