Dawit Yifru is a self-titled instrumental collection from the Ethiopian Ethio-jazz composer, reissued by Muzikawi as part of its Archive & Research project. Restored and remastered from cassette recordings released throughout the 1970s, the music captures an important period in Ethiopia's musical history.

Across the collection, Ethiopian Chickchika, Twist, Congolese Rumba and Waltz influences converge with Yifru's distinctive use of violin, highlighting the composer's adventurous approach and the rich crosscurrents present in Addis Ababa's music scene of the era.
