Catatonia - International Velvet

Catatonia’s International Velvet returns to vinyl in a new 140g black pressing. Originally released in 1998, the Welsh alternative rock band’s second studio album became a defining record of the late-1990s “Cool Cymru” era, reaching the top of the UK Albums Chart and establishing Catatonia as one of the period’s most recognisable British guitar bands.

Fronted by Cerys Matthews, the album combines sharp alternative rock songwriting with memorable pop hooks and includes the enduring singles Mulder and Scully and Road Rage. Following the limited 25th anniversary coloured-vinyl edition issued in 2023, this Warner Strategic Marketing UK reissue restores the album to a standard black-vinyl format for collectors and listeners who want the classic record back on LP.

This 2026 edition is pressed on a single 140g black vinyl LP and is a strong catalogue choice for fans of 1990s alternative rock, Welsh indie and Britpop-era guitar music.
