Blademasters is a new Melbourne instrumental project formed by Patrick Ryan (Cantrips) and Lachlan Stuckey (Surprise Chef).

Drawing on the spirit of David Axelrod’s bold cinematic jazz works of the 1960s and 1970s, King’s Knight / Live By The Blade delivers delicate acoustic guitar arrangements in unison, backed by a dramatic rhythm section featuring players connected to Karate Boogaloo, The Pro-Teens, Surprise Chef and Let Your Hair Down.

Recorded live in the Dune Castle Throne Room by Henry Jenkins, these two tracks capture a charged stillness between action and resolve. For customers into instrumental soul, cinematic funk and deep library-style grooves, this limited 7-inch has serious collector appeal.
