Björk - Björk Orkestral – with the Hamrahlíð Choir
Björk Orkestral – with the Hamrahlíð Choir captures a special 2021 performance from Harpa concert hall in Reykjavík, bringing together Björk with the 50-person Hamrahlíð Choir under conductor Þorgerður Ingólfsdóttir, alongside Bergur Þórisson on organ. The set draws primarily from Medúlla, reframing Björk’s catalogue through massed voices, choral textures and the spacious acoustics of Harpa.
Released physically for the first time in 2026, this black-vinyl LP documents one of the concerts from the Björk Orkestral series. The performance includes songs such as Show Me Forgiveness, Hidden Place, Unravel, Who Is It, Mouth’s Cradle and New World. The Hamrahlíð Choir has been central to Icelandic choral life for decades and previously collaborated with Björk on Utopia and the Cornucopia concerts.
A distinctive live document for Björk collectors and listeners drawn to experimental pop, vocal music and contemporary choral arrangements.
