Ben Carey - INVENTIONS

INVENTIONS is Ben Carey's third release for Australian experimental label Hospital Hill. Known for his work with analogue synthesizers and rare historical equipment, Carey approaches electronic instruments as active systems, drawing detailed sonic structures from the interaction between performer and machine.

The six pieces were assembled from encounters with analogue equipment in studios across Stockholm, Den Bosch, New York, Melbourne and Sydney. Presented in a gatefold sleeve, the album explores invention, instability and the constantly changing possibilities of electronic sound.
