Alek Lee - The Music Inside

The Music Inside pairs producer Alek Lee with vocalist Margeeah for a boutique 7-inch blending soul, reggae, disco and dub.

Lee brings a background in slow, dub-oriented production, adding live drums, percussion and his signature smoky melodica lines. Margeeah’s vocal style draws from soul, jazz, funk and reggae, giving the two tracks a warm, expressive centre.

The A-side, The Music Inside, is built around themes of optimism and inner freedom over a rooted reggae arrangement. On the flip, Can You Feel It? moves into a slower disco-dub feel, with bass, live drums, melodica and guitar surrounding Margeeah’s vocal.

The pressing is limited to 200 copies.
