Alejandro Bravo’s self-titled album is a private Mexican lounge recording made at home in Acapulco in 1971. Built around nylon-string guitar, simple percussion and Spanish-language vocals, the album blends bossa nova and samba with melodic pop influences in a compact, intimate setting.

The record moves between familiar repertoire and original-feeling lounge arrangements, with songs including (There’s) Always Something To Remind Me, Chili Verde, La Llorona, Superstar, Agua De Beber and El Cascabel. Its stripped-back instrumentation and rhythmic lightness place the focus on Bravo’s guitar, voice and the album’s relaxed Acapulco atmosphere.

Numero Group brings the album back on Natural with Blue Swirl vinyl for release on 6 November 2026. This single-LP edition preserves the full eleven-track Side A and Side B sequence and offers a distinctive coloured pressing of an unusual early-1970s recording spanning jazz, bossa nova and samba.
