Alèmayèhu Eshèté is widely regarded as one of the defining voices of Ethiopian soul, combining the phrasing and energy of American soul music with a distinctly Ethiopian musical identity.

This reissue brings together two highlights from his collaboration with Philophon. Alteleyeshegnem is reimagined by the Philophon house band with a driving beat, mystical harmonies and a forceful bassline, while Feqer Feqer New showcases Eshèté's unmistakable vocal style at its most soulful.

Both tracks have been specially remastered for this release.
