Different Strokes For Different Folks present the first-ever official vinyl reissue of Al Basim's legendary Revival, originally privately pressed in 1979.

Recorded after Baghdad-born musician Basim Al-Hashimi travelled to the United States in 1978, Revival blends Arabic influences with psychedelic rock, spiritual jazz, kosmische textures, ambient passages and progressive motifs. Led by melodic guitar playing, the album moves between out-there jams, meditative sections and jazz-inflected grooves.

Licensed directly from Basim Al Hashimi, the reissue includes an interview detailing the story behind the record along with photographs from his personal archive.
