7ebra - How to Land a Plane

How to Land a Plane is the second album from 7ebra, the Malmö duo formed by Swedish twin sisters Inez and Ella Johansson. The record turns the uncertainty of the mid-to-late twenties into a set of songs about identity, work, relationships and the pressure to work out what comes next. Building on the stripped-back atmosphere of their 2023 debut Bird Hour, the sisters broaden the sound here without losing the vulnerability and directness that defined their earlier work.

The album combines infectious hooks with buzzing synths, driving rhythms and sharply observed lyrics. Its subject matter moves between personal insecurity and the everyday absurdities of early adulthood, including the pressures of consumption and work suggested by titles such as “I Have to Buy Stuff”. Dark humour sits alongside self-reflection, while the arrangements give the songs a more immediate indie-pop pull. The result retains 7ebra’s minimal instincts but places them inside a fuller and more expansive production.

How to Land a Plane was written after extensive international touring and developed with producer Jens Lindgård. That period on the road helped shape a record about growing into confidence while still questioning the circumstances around you. Central to the album is the sisters’ creative relationship: two voices and perspectives intertwining, challenging and supporting one another across a twelve-song sequence that moves from “Magical Thinking” through to closing track “A Lucky Star”.

Released by PNKSLM Recordings on 25 September 2026, the album is available here in two vinyl editions: an Indies Only Transparent Red Vinyl pressing and a standard black vinyl edition. Both contain the complete twelve-track album, including “Dinner and a Movie”, “Lime Green Jello”, “Normal Song”, “Bored Like a Dog” and “I Feel a Mean Wind Blowing”.
