50/50 - Memories Linger (Crystal Clear Vinyl)
Memories Linger introduces one of the lesser-known projects of the UK’s early synth-pop era. Formed in the late 1970s by Richard Haines and David Cowles, 50/50 recorded a large body of material but remained largely unheard. This first-ever studio album brings together 12 songs recorded between 1981 and 1984, including nine previously unreleased tracks.
The music combines synth-forward pop with classic 1960s British songwriting and imaginative lyrics. Newly mastered by John Baldwin, this Light In The Attic edition is pressed on limited Crystal Clear vinyl at Optimal and includes a 12-page booklet featuring unseen photographs and liner notes by Charles Donovan. The track “Just Can’t Win” was also featured in FX’s The Shards.
