Various Artists – Movements Vol. 13

Various Artists - Movements Vol. 13 continues Tramp Records’ long-running archival series with another deep selection of rare rhythm & blues, raw funk and pre-disco recordings drawn from independent artists and small labels.

The series focuses on music created outside the major-label system, often in tiny original pressings that were sold locally, sent to radio stations or distributed directly by the artists themselves. Tramp Records’ research brings these obscure recordings back into circulation, preserving material that might otherwise remain known only to specialist collectors.

This deluxe double-gatefold edition includes detailed liner notes and unseen photographs. All but three selections appear on vinyl LP for the first time, and the initial 400 copies include a bonus 7-inch single. Pressed on BIOVINYL in Germany, Movements Vol. 13 is aimed at collectors of rare soul, funk, R&B and independent groove music.
