The record was finalised and mixed during the collective's first live tour, a five-week journey across Europe that finally placed members in the same physical space after years of digital exchange. Twenty-six songwriters and musicians contribute across the album, using instruments including balafon, ngoni, calabasse, violin, cello, saxophone and omnichord.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe resulting music resists easy categorisation. At different points it can feel dreamy, meditative, acoustic, psychedelic and forward-looking, with Senegalese musical traditions meeting experimental production and broader global influences. “Oh, Africa!” carries an almost vintage quality with its winding guitar line, while “100 ans” reflects the energy of a band playing together in real time. Elsewhere, the arrangements balance organic percussion and strings with the unusual textures that have defined Wau Wau Collectif from the beginning.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eReleased by Sahel Sounds, \u003cem\u003eTeranga\u003c\/em\u003e closes the trilogy while leaving the collaboration open-ended.
