His use of colour fields, blending, mood and scale really helped us build an\n\u003cbr\u003ealbum of tracks that could stand on their own and also work together as a coherent\n\u003cbr\u003ewhole across all the tones we had been working with. It was also a chance to fall back\n\u003cbr\u003ein love with our 909, 808 and 707.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eWhile working on music for several other projects, the “Rothko” project got renamed\n\u003cbr\u003eLoud Ambient because it did not really sit right with the My Brutal Life series. We\n\u003cbr\u003eoften talked about what people make of The Black Dog and whether they think we\n\u003cbr\u003eonly make ambient music. We do not. Over the last year or so, one of us would be\n\u003cbr\u003eworking on something and someone else would say, “That is a Loud Ambient track.”\n\u003cbr\u003eThe name stuck. We liked the funny side of it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eWith Loud Ambient, everything just fell into place creatively. Surprisingly for us, the\n\u003cbr\u003etracklisting never changed, just small tweaks here and there. That rarely happens. It\n\u003cbr\u003emarks a first for us as a band. All the stars aligned and the confidence in this album is\n\u003cbr\u003ethe strongest we have ever had.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eLoud Ambient was made to dance to, something we have not done in a while. We\n\u003cbr\u003ewelcome the return to the dancefloor with both hands.
