Fridays New Releases - July 22nd
Not the busiest of weeks, but quality over quantity, always.
Paul Weller - 22 Dreams (Limited Edition)
Weller's 9th studio album. Originally released in 2009, on vinyl for the first time since. What makes this a limited edition? I'm guessing it's the 8 page booklet included, put together by Simon Armitage and titled 'The Missing Dream, AKA Dream #22' and the 12" x 36" poster included.
Jamie T - The Theory Of Whatever (Indies Transparent Green Vinyl)
Jamie T mate! The recent panic prevention anniversary reissue they did was a good seller on release here (and still got a couple left). So there's an appetite for him round these parts.... You can order/click & collect/buy in store at your leisure from tomorrow.
Ty Segall - "Hello, Hi"
Feels like he's been around ages Ty Segall, and he kind of has at this point. Since around 07' ish I think. Always releasing, pretty prolific. A good one liner from the write up for me to nab, 'an assortment of love songs flowering in righteous unconsciousness'.
Jack White - Entering Heaven Alive (Detroit Denim Vinyl)
You'll have to click the link to find out what Detroit Denim Vinyl looks like, pretty cool mates... Just a note on this one, slightly delayed due to a systems outage at the distributor this comes from, so please don't shout at me as it's very unlikely these will be ready to pick up tomorrow - will keep yuh posted.
Pierre Barouh & The Sarah Sound
Same as above on this one as it comes from the same distributor unfortunately, but hopefully here first thing next week. Mega comp of 60's and 70's stuff from French label Saravah. Jazz, underground pop, soul, African and Brazilian music presented on a 2-LP (with gatefold sleeve), featuring Brigitte Fontaine, Areski, Jacques Higelin, Alfred Panou & BaroqueJazz Trio, including liner notes by Benjamin Barouh and Jacques Denis.
The Kooks - 10 Tracks To Echo In The Dark (Transparent Vinyl)
New one from the Kooks. Guess what, yeah same distributor... For Tuesday though 🤞
Isotope 217 - The Unstable Molecule (Opaque Blue Vinyl)
This is another one which comes with a write up better than anything I could possibly achieve... 'an eclectic avant funk ensemble dedicated to the Phonometric system of universal thought. One might also say a freewheeling trans- molecular unit dedicated to the betterment of all worlds'.
